Return & Refund Policy
At Trends Day Top Day, we take great pride in the quality of our products and the care we invest in packaging and delivery. This Return & Refund Policy outlines your rights and our commitments, in full compliance with South African consumer laws.
- Returns must be initiated within 7 days (for online orders) or 10 days (for in-store purchases).
- Products must be unused, in original packaging, and in a resellable condition.
- Proof of purchase (invoice or order number) is required.
- Returns must be pre-authorised by our team before sending items back.
- Notify us within 7 days of delivery.
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
- A 9% handling/restocking fee will apply.
- Returned items must be in unused, original condition.
⚠️ Note: Used, damaged, or incomplete returns will not be refunded in full and may be refused.
As per Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA):
- You may cancel an online order within 7 days of receiving it.
- A full refund will be issued (excluding courier fees) if the item is returned unused and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
- No handling fees apply to cooling-off cancellations.
- We offer replacements, repairs, or full refunds if the product is defective, incorrect, or damaged (after verification).
- If delivery was made using our own vehicle (within our trade route), we take full responsibility for delivery issues.
- If a courier was selected and paid for at checkout, you are responsible for lodging any damage claims with the courier. We will assist with documentation.
  Customer Inspection Required:
- Inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
- If visibly damaged, refuse the delivery and notify us within 24 hours.
- If delivery is forced, note “DAMAGED” on the POD and report it to us within 2 hours.
- Failure to inspect or report timeously may invalidate the claim.
- Returned items must be securely packaged.
- We are not liable for goods damaged during return transit due to poor packaging.
- Refunds may be denied or reduced for goods returned damaged (unless courier-related and properly documented).

- Refunds are processed within 30 calendar days of approval and inspection.
- In most cases, we aim to refund within 7 working days.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
